Alderney’s Top 5 Best Beaches

cm-025-025-newAlderney has soft golden sand and gentle lapping shores a plenty. Here are our top 5 best beaches; you just need to decide which one to head for…

Saye Beach– is perfect for families. Situated just over the dunes from the islands only campsite and nestled between Braye Beach and Arch Bay it is the perfect location for a safe run around to let off some steam.

Braye Bay – is a fantastic sandcastle beach. Sheltered by Alderney’s famous Breakwater it is just minutes’ walk from the harbour and town.

Longis Bay – A favourite with sunbathers and rock poolers. It is situated on the south-east coast and is protected from the wind by a long wall built in German occupation.

Corblets Beach – Is situated on the north coast and is the best for board surfing. At high tide the rocks cut this bay off from Arch Bay.

Platte Saline – Perfect for nature lovers and fishermen. However, swimming is not permitted here because of the severe undertow.
