Venice comes to Alderney

26th – 29th May

Centred around a theme of Venice and Light, the 5th Alderney Performing Arts Festival promises to be a spectacular mix of technological and classical performance when amazing light installations mix with a variety of music talent. There’s also a Fringe Festival and live music throughout the weekend at The Georgian House, The Adventurer’s Rest, The Moorings, Bumps Bistro and Cantina No 6.

Friday 26th May

Son et Lumiere at Chateau L’Etac

An artistic and musical experience as the Limbic Cinema illuminate the buildings at Chateau L’Etac, The Island Hall and St Anne’s Church accompanied by the music of Gabby Young. Tickets: £15, starts 8pm.

Saturday 27th May

A Venetian Journey: Ecstasy and Dreams

Vocal recital at Essex Castle, 12pm. Tickets: £12.

Train Ride

Enjoy a glass of Prosecco or a soft drink and onboard entertainment. Tickets £5.

Tramenzzini Quartet: Serata Veneziana

Italian supper prepared by Cantina 6 with featured music from the Tramenzzini Quartet. Tickets: £18.

Folk with Hog Roast

Five folk acts plus a hog roast at Island Hall from 7.30pm. Tickets: £15.

Sunday 28th May

Reflections in the Water

Join pianist Freddie Reading in a recital of classics from Mahler, Mendelssohn, Debussy and Ravel. Val des Portes, 12pm. Tickets: £12

Summer Madness

Kathryn Hepburn’s classic film set in Venice. Showing at Chateau L’Etac, 3pm. Tickets: £6.

Opera Gala with Light Fantastic – Glitz, Glamour and Gondoliers

Listen and watch as four vocalists take you through a series of arias whilst the Limbic Cinema create some digital mapping joined by the Jam Jar Fairies projections. 7.30pm, St Anne’s Church. Tickets: £18.
